Šiandien, 2013 m. gegužės 28 d., Antakalnio stotelėje iš 3-tojo maršruto troleibuso (garažinis numeris 2570) elektros įrangos, esančios ant troleibuso stogo, pradėjo rūkti dūmai. Buvo iškviesta techninė tarnyba, kuri – turbūt dėl didelio iškvietimų skaičiaus, kadangi netvarkomi troleibusai dažniau genda – atvažiavo negreit, todėl vairuotojas iškvietė ir ugniagesius, kurie atvyko tuo pat metu kaip ir techninė tarnyba. Atvyko du priešgaisrinio gelbėjimo tarnybos ekipažai, taip pat atvyko kelių policija. Buvo uždarytas eismas abiem eismo juostomis, kelių policija laikinai nukreipė dalį transporto priemonių priešpriešine eismo juosta. Gaisrininkai užpylė troleibusą vandeniu, ir jau po kelių minučių troleibusas buvo nutemptas į parką, kur, žinant dabartinius miesto valdžios planus, jis vargu ar bus tvarkomas.
Vilniaus miesto savivaldybė buvo paskelbusi, kad įmonė “Vilniaus viešasis transportas” šiemet sutaupys 10 mln. Lt. Turbūt tie pinigai bus sutaupyti neprižiūrint ir netvarkant transporto priemonių? Ar šitaip tikimasi pritraukti daugiau keleivių?

Neblogas beveik 3 metų senumo straipsnis apie interesus dėl Vilniaus viešojo transporto. Įdomiausia, kad straipsnyje kalbinta prof. M.Burinskienė tuo metu turėjo kardinaliai kitokią nuomonę, nei atsiradusią pernai 🙂

Škoda 14Tr 2410 in the museum
Today, оn 24th of May, 2013, trolleybus Škoda 14Tr (No. 2410) was brought to the Museum of Energy and Technology (Rinktines 2, Vilnius). This trolleybus was made in 1983 and has made more than a million kilometers in the streets of Vilnius.

Letter from the Government Representavive
As it was already mentioned, on the 13th of May, 2013 there was a meeting of Vilnius City Council Petitions Commission, where a petition (which was handed 2013-04-26) on Vilnius public transport optimization was discussed. As far as it is known today, in the nearest future a special working group of the city’s management representatives’ will be created, and they will continue to work on the petition. The latest news and decisions will be published here as soon as possible.
These days a letter was received from the Government Representative in Vilnius county, signed by dr. Audrius Skaistys. This letter is published below.
2013-05-10 Appeal from UITP to the Mayor
We have got an appeal signed by the Secretary-General Alain Flausch of the International Association of Public Transport (Union Internationale des Transports Publics, UITP), sent in 10th of May, 2013 to the Mayor of Vilnius Arturas Zuokas, also addressed to the Board Chairman of “Vilniaus Viešasis Transportas” Romas Adomavicius and Minister of Transport of the Republic of Lithuania Rimantas Sinkevicius.
2013-05-19: events of the week
This week was full of events – but, perhaps, this should be expected, as of July 1st is coming, moreover, approaching the day when there will be the tram line tender procedure started, the municipality is increasingly starting to spread the news about the “necessity” of tram.
